Princeton area is nice. Express train will take you into NY Penn in 1 hour.

South Brunswick is nice too.

And I am personally partial to Highland Park but many don’t like it.

It's nice too, if you're looking in that area check out Sayreville too. Schools arent so good but it has some nice quiet neighborhoods and easy commute to the city via bus.
