From the WSJ:
Jobs Report Today: What to Watch
Investors’ eyes are on the jobs report today.
February’s jobs data are due at 8:30 a.m. ET. Economists expect that hiring cooled from January. A softer labor market could translate into less spending power for consumers, and lower inflation, making the case for interest-rate cuts.
Investors got a shot of optimism Thursday after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said the central bank wasn’t far from being able to cut interest rates. Across the Atlantic, the European Central Bank’s fresh inflation forecasts signaled the possibility of earlier rate cuts, although no earlier than June.
February’s job report is expected to show the U.S. economy added 198,000 jobs and that the unemployment rate held at 3.7%. Last month, job creation came in hotter-than-expected, forcing investors to rethink their expectations for rate cuts this year.

Last night was a speech for the ages in defense of democracy which Biden did to perfection.
Truly impressive performance.
Biden quoted Republicans to Republicans.
Oh, and he looked like a 30 year old cuting off a the balls of old crap orange clown.
Truly impressive performance.
Oh, it was most definitely a performance, I’ll give you that but why did O’Biden mention the head coach of USC football?
But, all those clips of his gaffes. He can’t speak, he can’t walk..he blasted the Rs for two hours. Border bill denial? He put in a whiff right under Dumpy’s tan nose, so much that R Lankford could only mutter “true”. It was impressive for old man who should not be running. But, oh the rebuttal..that is the cherry of R stupidity. The MAGA cult has to be embarrassed this morning..if they had any shame.
Bystander,
You telling me I need to get rid of my QAnon action figures?
C’mon man, gimme some slack!
“My predecessor and some of you here seek to bury the truth about Jan. 6th!” he declared about the 2021 attack on the Capitol instigated by Mr. Trump.
“We stopped you 50 times before and we will stop you again!” he vowed about Republican efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
“My God, what freedom else would you take away?” he demanded after condemning the overturning of Roe v. Wade by Trump-appointed justices.”
Truly impressive performance
That’s what she said
In other news, Fortune had an article on the increase of baby boomers moving in with their Millenial kids. Apparently, it’s growing. According to a Federal Reserve survey 49 percent of Boomers aged 65 to 74 have no retirement income, although 2/3 own their own home.
It’s Womax or Wymins or Women’s day however you spell it.
We have guest speakers today. I will join the zoom meeting but not actually watch it. I will ask the AI to write me a nice comment too.

Sounds like it was a campaign speech.
If he’s so potent then why did they weaponized the government and courts to stop his opposition. Run on the globalist platform and let the chips fall where they may.
Would have been a defense of democracy. This is a banana republic.
I thought it was in poor taste on Biden’s part to vilify SCOTUS members who were present, and would say the same for any President who did that. Ironically, their decision to overturn Roe v Wade is a gift for Democrats. Just saying.
Jobs come in 273,000. Stronger than expected.

BREAKING NEWS!
US economy adds 275,000 jobs in February, above expectations of 198,000.
This means that the US economy has added jobs for 38 consecutive months.
Meanwhile with a leadership vacuum chaos sitters in the world. A civil war has begun in Haiti.
Biden asked bibi to act with restraint and he laughed in his face. What I said world Helen in Israel is happening. Pay to obliterate Palestine, pay to rebuild it, and everyone forced out will come here and we’ll pay for them. They’ll in turn reject western values. We’re a country of fools.
“My fellow Americans, the issue facing our nation isn’t how old we are, it’s how old are our ideas,” Mr. Biden said.
“Hate, anger, revenge, retribution are the oldest of ideas. But you can’t lead America with ancient ideas that only take us back. To lead America, the land of possibilities, you need a vision for the future and what can and should be done.”
We get it Traitormook, falsifying loan applications, stealing classified documents and refusing to return and installing fake elector scheme/ bullying GA Secretary to find 11K votes==NOT CRIMES. In fact, it does not explicitly state in constitution that you can’t call him on phone and threaten people to find votes..TRUMP IS INNOCENT..ahh. If Hillary held a rally saying the 2016 election was stolen and telling people to ‘fight for their country or you won’t have it anymore” “Now, march down to Capitol” leading 100s of police injuries and shooting death?? I wonder if insurrection term would be uttered by right. OF COURSE NOT. WE ARE THE PATRIOTIC PARTY OF THE CONSTITUTION.

Biden went so far as to call Anita Hill during the 2020 election to apologize decades later, only it was to try and get her to sit on the sidelines while he ran for office.
Gotta love the Honduran dude at the Rio Grande wearing the O’Biden/Harris tee shirt stating that that’ll get him into Texas. And here I am renewing my passport adhering to a plethora of rules for approval. Who would’ve thought a mere endorsement to the proper political team would secure entry.
To be clear on Biden the decades long job as Senator as long as has he was in government he never introduced any legislation to codify the right to an abortion into federal law.
Yet he says he can do it now? Laughable….
“You can’t love your country only when you win.”
President Biden
Gary,
I know Republicans want this red hot economy to collapse, but be careful what you wish for. To many chinks in the armor and the FED will start cutting interest rates. Remember what happened when Trump demanded Powell cut rates? Huzzah!
I usually don’t watch the SOTU address since it’s no more than a pep rally for the sitting POTUS. I watched from about 9:45 on since I was watching the Devil game. I found the behavior of the Republicans truly deplorable. Did they think they were at a comedy club where dummies regularly heckle the headliner? The opposing party members of the POTUS rarely stand to applaud the platitudes that are uttered. That is to be expected. But the constant interrupting, dressing like clowns with huge buttons and MAGA hats? It really has become the party of “mean.” Then, while waiting for that truly embarrassing overdramatized rebuttal, MAGA runs a commercial knocking Biden’s age and questioning his life expectancy? Not a single mention of policy whatsoever. Just a stumbling, bumbling old man who is all of 4 years older than Trump. Again, all negativity. Hardly the Republican party I remember. But I’m not surprised. Trump has always been a bully. Of course his lapdogs would follow in suit.
If I was undecided, unless I was really, really stupid. I doubt I would have been drawn by the Republican strategy last night. It’s narrative, narrative, narrative. Over and over. I like when they ask are you better off today than you were three years ago? Cause I am infinitely better and so is every single person I know. I guess all of my friends are just the hard-working ones.
Do you love your country if you vow to radically transform it and open it to a foreign invasion. Not in my view, that’s treasonous.
Foreign invasion.
Radicalized this. Radicalized that. Ooh, a transvestite!
The party of mean!
Same lies over and over. My life doesn’t change much when an R or a D is in the White House. Of course, I’m not some poor black female who can’t afford the trip to a blue state to have medical procedures performed.

re: take corruption over crazy?
Lib – I have a problem with this war escalation going on in Europe. It seems the Chicken Hawks are at it again, another decades long slog, this time not in the sand. It won’t take much to tip it over the line where our children will be manning the trenches in Europe again.
Corruption over crazy is a great description of the coming elections.
The left and their kinder gentler machine gun hand. Spare me. I don’t think dumping millions of poor from across the world into struggling communities is very nice. Nor aborting an unborn child.
Yes, I’m better off today than 3 yrs ago
You’re wearing $4,000 suits, I would assume you are. But, are you paying your fair share of taxes? Hmmm?? Ah, yes, the BLS, another once-reliable and impartial institution that’s been trashed by the swampy Dems. And the same predictable nonsense every month, loudly announce blowout numbers and quietly revise DOWN the previous — in this case Jan revised down from 350k to 229k.
Lib, you should talk to anyone looking to buy a home as opposed to someone who owns it. Your mortgage is probably fixed at 2.5% with a good purchase price. So’s mine. Everyone else is tasked with buying for $200k too much at a much higher rate. Or they can wait it out with ever increasing rents. The haves are loving it. The have nots…not so much.

I have no issue supporting Ukraine, but it is a legitimate question to ask how much money will it cost, and for how long? And the Europeans should be in the lead on this not the US as far as money is concerned. Another valid question is will there be enough Ukrainian men left to fight? Young men are hiding from the conscription authorities. The Ukrainian government is shutting down social media sites that would alert people to when the conscription officials would be in local towns and villages.
If ultimately the US has to send troops , will it just be the lower income Americans that go, or will people encourage their children to sign up and go to fight in Ukraine?
I think these are legitimate questions and not indicative of being a Trump supporter.

3b,
The problem with out country, when it comes to most military conflicts, is that when we pussy foot in and then we lose. I give Israel credit here. They are not fucking around. Neither should we. Look at Korea and Vietnam. If we used our military might, forget about it. The problem is, we don’t. Sometimes I question if the dark money our candidates receive is coming from Putin himself?
Put boots on the ground. Get it over with. The sooner dictators will stop invading and the sooner the rest of the world will get back to appreciating us. Plus the dollar would be stronger than ever. Plus it’s much cheaper to just get it over with.
And don’t give me that fear of nukes bullshit. The first country that uses it (after us) will be the end of that country for real.

10:31 and bang the stepford wife on it… ??
Biden outperformed expectations by being able to read for an hour. Not that well, but probably better than his median voter. And he didn’t glitch on camera like Mitch McConnell. That Repub lady gave off a Dolores Umbridge aura. She sounded like she was always on the verge of tears or rage, while smiling throughout. Did they run her speech through a test audience before unleashing her on the public?
When Republican’s ask about whether they are better off now than 4 years ago, they have to deflect blame from Trump about the fact he shut down the economy in 2020, partly because he didn’t want to be too different from Xi Jinping, and even in his fourth year as president, still hadn’t cleared “the swamp” of bureaucrats he claimed he was going to clear, and didn’t listen to the few independent thinkers willing to work in his administration.
Of course if he hadn’t shut down the whole economy, Dems would have blamed every single COVID death on Trump’s heartlessness and greed, and Trump would never do the right thing if it came at a political cost to him.
I like to hear Trump defenders explain how everything bad that happened was the fault of his own chosen advisors, and then at other times they explain how Trump is the best manager of all the best people (until he fires them and throws them under the bus). Like how he apparently hired a neocon warmonger to represent the US at the UN. Why would he have done that?
3b – People here don’t understand Ukraine. I worked with a Ukranian woman. She explained it this way.
The Donetsk region has been trying to separate from Ukraine since at least 2004. That is 20 years. The separatists living there started the war internally 10 years ago and Russia formally stepped in two years ago. This was done for Mafia control of the resources there. No other reason. The local Ukrainian Mafia sided with the Russians and started this whole war.
Now that over 3 million people have died or fled just that one region or Oblast and most towns and cities are destroy what is there left to fight for?
Do we really want our children there in the trenches? This is where it is headed. Russia won’t give up and if we continue to escalate there is a real chance of a nuclear exchange. There has never been a nuclear exchange, the fact that the scientists of the world say we are closer to a nuclear exchange than even the Cuban Missile crisis yet it’s ignored. The Russian warn us every day, if we continue to escalate there will be no other choice.
Somehow people think Ukraine can win this. To do so requires allot more than donated used near end of life equipment. They will need boots on the ground. This is not an arial bombardment of cities and towns in the middle east. There are no B-52s carpet bombing the Taliban or Al-Qaeda or ISIS and no smart weapons and bunker busters. The Russians have formidable air defenses, we won’t be flying in there anytime soon. It is WW 1 style trench warfare now fought mostly with dumb artillery, that can drag on until there is no one left in any town or trench.

Women’s conference LoL again. One of the panelists said we should complement each other, in meetings online or in person, you know as an ice breaker as women like to hear compliments. Example was hey I like your new hair color or I like your outfit.
Lol if any man said that to a woman coworker these days we would get in trouble. Men BTW are used to never getting compliments. Any compliment received by a man is likely to be taken the wrong way.

“but seriously, if you advocate for US boots on the ground would you want that?”
Yes I would. Heck, I would volunteer to help out any way I could. Like in the case of Israel, you simply can’t let aggressors be aggressive. Though, I don’t think the oligarchs would risk bankruptcy (I’ve read that they were already starting to complain of the costs of the war) to fight us there. I think they thought this would be easy. I really think if we put boots on the ground, they might chicken out. Russia is not doing economically well these days. If you don’t play defense here, then what do you do when they invade Belarus, Poland, etc. The key is to go in hard and heavy. And I really doubt anyone is using nukes as everyone knows it’s end game if you do. Honestly, the best way to deter future wars is to pound on all dictators regardless of cost. The world will back you. Just my 2 cents.
re: “The world will back you.”
Yeah they were gung ho back in Iraq right? “Coalition of the willing” in 2003.
How well did that go? 48 countries on the list of the Coalition and ONLY four contributed boots on the ground troops (the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Poland).
Everyone in the world has our back for sure with Ukraine right? India is definitely sending aid and weapons? How about China? How about Japan? How about Brazil?

3b, You already know the answer to this.
It’s always those who can’t afford a deferment or loophole who go. Kind of like the poor black girls in red states who die by a coat hanger because they can’t afford the trip to a blue state to terminate an unwanted pregnancy. Same goes with the blue politician and their family. Their daughters will have abortions still and their sons will get deferments.
lol, nailed it Eddie. Endless wars, open borders and abortions are the campaign themes for the left. Nothing crazy about that.
NVDA dropped from 974 to 890 in an hour. $200B move.
At least Eddie is feeding them Chex Mix and keeping them in the yard rather than wanting to yeet them over to the kill shelter in Ukraine.
Phoenix: Oh I know the answer. It will be the poor / low income, white, black, and Hispanic kids who will be going, not the kids of the people who are advocating or warning if we don’t continue to help then we will have US boots in Ukraine. And as Juice said, no one will have our backs , and it will be mostly Americans who will be killed / injured.
I don’t have an issue with supporting Ukraine, but what is the end result? How long and how much? Is it likely that Ukraine can win , as in defeat the Russians and expel them from the East? Can they also realistically expect to get Crimea back as well?
Are these issues / questions being discussed behind the scenes?
“They are running our of bodies to send to their deaths”
I think it’s up to the Ukrainians to decide whether their independance is worth fighting for.
Putin is testing the resolve of the west. Appeasement and US isolationism didn’t prevent WW2, and it won’t prevent another big European war.
Oc1: Agreed, but if BBC reports are true, many young men are not willing to fight for their independence.
President Kennedy…
Sounds interesting.
“many young men are not willing to fight for their independence.”
They will find out the hard way.
OC1 – The Ukrainian border service has notes daily attempts by citizens trying to flee the country, and have been arresting their own border guards who take bribes to transport the young men fleeing conscription.
Zelensky himself said a few months ago 500,000 new soldiers are needed now. They have been asking the EU to send back the 800,000 men of fighting age who managed to flee and cross the border illegally. Those are only the ones in the EU. The rest who knows US, Canada and elsewhere.
Currently conscripts and volunteers are obliged to serve until the end of the war, and are only allowed 10 days’ leave a year.
Putin himself said there are over 600,000 Russians fighting in Ukraine now.
This is a boots on the ground problem. Even if we suppled them with billions in more artillery etc there is not enough men to fight this war. There is talk now of EU sending troops. That mean’s even though sleepy Joe said last night he is “determined” not to deploy U.S. troops to Ukraine it does not mean they are not planning for it. Does this even require a declaration of war from Congress?
1:15 dimestore Kennedy
Human nature is a biatch. Wars are inevitable, unless you like being someone’s biatch. I’m with Lib on this one…you need to stand up to bullies or suffer the consequences. To act like Russia can be trusted….guess these people never did business with a Russian. Can’t be trusted for chit, no different than the Chinese. Chinese/Russian corruption makes American corruption look like child’s play.
re: “…you need to stand up to bullies ”
But we aren’t we are sending them weapons instead. That is not standing up to a bully. There are limits to what Kyiv can do, even with an indefinite flow of Western assistance. They won’t be anything left to defend. This is an artillery war just like WW 1..which had only 475 miles of front lines. The Border between Russia and Ukraine is 1,426 miles. How long can they last without boots on the ground from EU troops and eventually US soliders? I give it until the fall.
Quite the market swing.
Juice.
When Belarus is invaded. Same thing?
Speaking of escalations. The first wave of 60 or so old F-16s will be flying in Ukraine around May. Most of these are vintage 1994 technology….
Ukraine’s chance of aerial superiority depends on these old aircraft. There won’t be dogfighting, they might be used to take out land based radars with HARM missiles and maybe shoot down slow flying shaheed drones and bombing runs if they dare. Russia also has should fired anti aircraft heat seeking missiles that fly at Mach 1.9. Large quantities of them too.
“When Belarus is invaded. Same thing?”
How about Finland and Poland (both most recently invaded by Russia in 1939).
Sweden and Finland didn’t join NATO last year because they think Putin’s territorial ambitions are just limited to Ukraine.

And that younger women take their men from them so they hate them deep down. Jealous of their looks and youth that no longer exist. Plus become more conservative/religious/greedy as they age.
Tons of women will vote for Trump.
It will be interesting as the country is fully divided.
4:09 lets see how that plays out.
All Taylor Swift has to do is one statement urging her minions to vote Blue.
Her minions are voting blue. But there are thousands of grannies hopping onto Senior Citizen buses that are conservative. More than the AOC/Swifties who are too lazy to go and vote. Most young ones think their vote doesn’t matter. Geezers have been lining up to get in that voting booth for years, they show up in record numbers.

“…you simply can’t let aggressors be aggressive.”
With SlowJoe in charge of the free world, it’s never been a better time to be an aggressor. Just ask the mullahs in Iran who are causing trouble all over the middle east while Joe looks the other way on sanctions violations and all of the other ‘aggressive’ actions they sponsor. Or ask Maduro in Venezuela, who’s having a great time bullying his neighbors, locking up domestic opponents and shipping his criminals north to kill young American women and beat up cops — after Joe lifted sanctions in a craven attempt to keep a lid on oil prices.
Chi — I’m halfway through Turn Out The Noise. I can’t get over just how easy some of these boomers had it. Complete horse caca.
“I applied to Booth Thursday, received a decision Friday, and enrolled on Monday. ”
“I called the business school, and the dean of admissions happen to pick up. I told him my story and he said we have no record of your application, what are your grades? Oh, I see. Well we have a scholarship here, would you like to have it?”
Like what the actual [expletive]? These are some real mfkn boomer stories. You know what’s random? It seems what is truly a random walk is these people landing in their positions in the first place.
TJ “to concoct the dossier hoax” you keep missing two big points. Steele Dossier was initiated by the GOP. More importantly, nothing in the dossier has been disproven. The only item of question is who had the burner phone in the Seychelles?
I realize my above post may reek of Pumkin-ish bravado but their boomer coming up stories shock the conscience.
“I am sure Putin knows empires are expensive to maintain and hold. I don’t see him wanting to swallow up Finland or Sweden.”
Back when Putin was assembling his forces at the border, and dozens of nations were threatening sanctions, military support for Ukraine, etc, if he invaded, many people (including some of the posters here!) were saying that Putin would be crazy to invade Ukraine, and that he’d never do it.
Yet, here we are.
You are thinking like a rational man. Putin is not.

I like it. Will never happen.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is said to be the richest president in the world. He has an estimated worth of $70 billion. His Black Sea mansion is estimated to be worth $1.4 billion. He also owns 19 other houses, some 700 cars and 58 aircraft and helicopters.
Surely it wouldn’t be that hard to End Putin.
I think at this point it’s required.
Here’s an example of women hating a woman. Wife videoed her husband pointing a shotgun telling her to say hi to Jesus right before he shot her. All woman jury gave him only 10 years .

Oc1; Ukraine is a different matters. First, Putin thought it would be an easy run to Kiev, and the Ukrainian government would quickly fall. Second, he thought he would be welcomed by ethnic Russians and Russian speaking Ukrainians. Third, there were many in ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine who supported Putin, at least initially. The western portion of Ukraine is the historic Ukraine, the eastern portion is more probable, as large portions of it were added to Ukraine in the 1920s during the Soviet period. As well, Crimea was part of Russia since Catherine the great conquered it in the 1700 from the Tatars. It only became part of Ukraine in 1959 when Kruschev the Soviet Premier who was an ethnic Ukrainian symbolically assigned it to Ukraine in honor of the founding of Kiev. Since Russia and Ukraine were part of the Soviet Union it meant nothing in reality at that time.
Finally, Putin and probably most Russians don’t recognize ethnic Ukrainians as a different people whether they speak Ukrainian or Russian. I am not defending or rationalizing Putin or his actions concerning Ukraine, but that is his thought process.

Hitler felt pretty much the same about Austria and Czeckoslovakia.
Oc1 Austria was and is German, it wanted to unite with Germany at the end of WW 1, but the British and French would not allow it. Austria did not unite with Germany under Bismarck as it had its own Austrian Hungarian empire, and as well Bismarck did not care for Catholics, and had enough with Catholic Bavaria. As for Czechoslovakia that was cobbled together at the end of WW 1, and included the Sudetenland, which was a German populated area. As you Czechoslovakia went there separate ways a few years after the fall of commonwealth. Russia and Ukraine is a different story from a historical perspective.

You missed my point. You can cobble up a “reasonable” (in Hitler’s/Germany’s eyes anyway) explanation to justify why Hitler annexed Austria and Czeckoslovakia.
But my point is – Hitler’s “annexations” didn’t end there.
Hitler went after the low-hanging fruit first, then went after the bigger stuff.
Hopefully Putin is different than Hitler in that regard.
But hope is not a strategy.
I think Russia’s neighbor’s are in better position to judge Putin’s expansionist intentions than some random guys surfing the net on the other side of the world.
And Russia’s neighbors seem to be taking that potential threat very, very seriously.
Look at Sweden- they’ve been non-aligned since the 1800’s. Neutral in WW1 and WW2. Yet suddenly, like a month after Russia invades Ukraine, they decide “hey- we need to be in NATO”.
Here is your war, who wanted what, and which President/Country was interfering.
Europe wanted this pipeline, paid for and built it against America’s wishes.
America didn’t like it then, and doesn’t like it now. This is how Ukraine ended up with a puppet in charge.
And Biden’s son in bed with the oligarch gas thieves in Ukraine? Is that a coincidence? Did he tell daddy’s secrets? Biden seems to like to suck Ukrainian D vs helping his own country.
Soviet plans to build the pipeline were strongly opposed by the US-administration of Ronald Reagan.[11][12][13] Americans were afraid that Western Europe would become dependent on the Soviet gas supplies, giving leverage to the Soviet Union. They also feared the Kremlin would use the export revenue for military purposes.[14] In December 1981, the US implemented sanctions preventing American companies from exporting oil and gas technologies to the Soviet Union. In June 1982, these sanctions were expanded to cover subsidiaries of US companies in Europe.[14]
Washington’s Western European allies, however, refused to boycott the pipeline.[15][16] The foreign ministers of the European Economic Community called extension of the American sanctions illegal and sent a formal note of protest.[14] From the European perspective, participation in the pipeline project was seen as an opportunity for the depressed steel and engineering industry in Europe and as a way to diversify from the OPEC oil supplies.[14] Western European governments insisted that contracts already signed between the Soviets and European companies needed to be honored. This led to several European companies being sanctioned by the US.[17][18] Reagan reportedly said: “Well, they can have their damned pipeline. But not with American equipment and not with American technology.”[19] The efforts by the US to prevent the construction of the pipeline, and its export embargo of supplies needed to build it (1980–84), constituted one of the most severe transatlantic crises of the Cold War.[18][20]
On 8 June 2010, a Stockholm court of arbitration ruled Naftohaz of Ukraine must return 12.1 billion cubic metres (430 billion cubic feet) of gas to RosUkrEnergo, a Swiss-based company in which Gazprom controls a 50% stake. Russia accused Ukrainian side of diverting gas from pipelines passing through Ukraine in 2009.[11][12] Several high-ranking Ukrainian officials stated the return “would not be quick”.[13]

So old white, slightly predominantly female, and educated workers.
“White workers are more likely to work from home.”
“But if we focus on just those who work at home all or some of the time, college educated workers become the most prominent. Working from home is, for the most part, a luxury for the highly educated.”
“The divide in who gets the flexibility to work remotely also reflects the country’s racial inequalities. Because white workers are more likely to hold office jobs, they are more likely to have the opportunity to work remotely part or all of the time. Black and Hispanic workers, meanwhile, more frequently hold jobs in food service, construction, retail, health care and other fields that require them to be in person.”
“The youngest workers are working from home less often. Even among college graduates, workers in their 20s are more likely to be in the office full time than their older colleagues. That suggests that young workers are embracing the benefits of in-person work: socialization, mentorship and face time with the boss.”
“Overall, women are more likely than men to work remotely. That’s partly because more women have college degrees, so more of them are in the kind of professional jobs in which flexible arrangements have become the norm. Even among those without college degrees, women are more likely to work at a desk in an administrative or customer support role, while men more often work in construction, manufacturing and other jobs that can only be done in person.”
Oc1: I think you miss my point, and I don’t in any way justify or what Hitler did. My attempt was to give you reasons why Putin wants Ukraine if only just eastern Ukraine at this point. I don’t argue that Putin might attack his neighbors and seek to neutralize them. But, I don’t think he wants to occupy and absorb Sweden, or Finland , or Poland. Russia simply would not be able to afford to occupy and hold these countries. As for Belarus it’s effectively part of Russia now, with a merged military and economy.
Putin is not Hitler.
Trump is not Hitler.
Xi is not Hitler.
Biden is not Hitler.
Only Hitler was Hitler. Just because Hitler did certain things does not mean that any of the above will do the same things that Hitler did.
“I think Russia’s neighbor’s are in better position to judge Putin’s expansionist intentions than some random guys surfing the net on the other side of the world”
Better position to judge? No, just in a better position to be affected by his choices. They are not all in agreement. See my post above. Each one of them have different opinions and levels of paranoia, even on America.
Macron wants to start WW3, the other’s don’t . Just one difference in a sea of many.
Some will think Putin will take over the world, but there is no proof, no evidence, no logic to suggest any such thing.
Other than irrational paranoia.
