N.J.’s housing market heats up: Over 9,000 homes listed
Thousands of homes hit New Jersey’s housing market last month, according to the latest figures from Realtor.com.
A total of 9,844 homes were listed statewide in April, making for a nearly 5% increase compared to the same time last year.
Most of the nation saw the percentage of newly listed homes increase.
Vermont and Massachusetts saw the largest increase in newly listed homes at over 25% and 21%, respectively.
North Dakota, which had 916 newly listed homes in April, saw the most significant dip at 18.65%.
According to a recent Redfin report, nationwide housing stock hit a five-year high.
“A lot of people are selling their homes and downsizing,” Meme Loggins, a Redfin agent based in Portland, Oregon, said in the report. “They’re worried about the economy.”

I don’t believe a 787 has ever crashed before. It is designed to save fuel with a lot of computer controls over the engines to reduce wear and fuel savings. It does a long slowish takeoff roll all computer controlled thrust etc. It’s possible one engine failed during takeoff or even a bird strike and they did not have enough thrust with one engine to get it up and around for an emergency landing. The gear was still down so that is a sign they might have been struggling. Black box recorders should be retrievable and will hopefully tell the whole story.
Definitely engine failure. Flaps looked fine, just couldn’t get lift. No stall really either. Probably could have been landed if anywhere but India. That was some explosion. Now every Indian in India is about to call their families to make sure that of the 1.4 billion Indians living in India, their family was not one of the unluck 250 or so. When the bird hit occured, you could hear it and the plane jerked slightly.

Indexes that increased over the month include medical care, motor vehicle insurance, household furnishings and
operations, personal care, and education. The indexes for airline fares, used cars and trucks, new vehicles, and
apparel were among the major indexes that decreased in May.
The all items index rose 2.4 percent for the 12 months ending May, after rising 2.3 percent over the 12 months
ending April. The all items less food and energy index rose 2.8 percent over the last 12 months. The energy index

Eichmann allegedly described the assignment as “a fantastic opportunity,” one in which he could set new records for the speed of the annihilation process. On May 15th, 1944, he began the deportations. A new rail spur at the death camp had just been completed which saved time on the Auschwitz end of the line: the trains from Hungary could now stop within a couple of hundred yards of the gas chambers. Between May and June as many as 20,000 Jews a day arrived at the death camp. Overwhelmed by the numbers, Hoess was forced to run his crematoria 24 hours a day. By the beginning of July, Eichmann had sent more than 437,000 Hungarian Jews to Auschwitz-Birkenau, 90% of them to a quick death. The operation he reportedly told an aide, “went like a dream.”
