Where’s my government cheese?

From the Courier Post:

Stay NJ payments roll out amid questions about the program’s future

The first payments for the Stay NJ property tax relief program are beginning to roll out.

But with a price tag of about $1.2 billion each year, and guaranteed funding only through June of this year, the program may see changes moving forward.

Geared toward keeping seniors in New Jersey during their golden years, Stay NJ is designed to offer property tax rebates to those 65 and older with incomes of up to $500,000. It’s projected that 90% of eligible recipients have incomes of less than $200,000.

Stay NJ checks are now being mailed to approximately 430,000 qualifying taxpayers who applied last year. The payments are to be distributed in quarterly installments at an average of approximately $637 for the first check.

The first quarterly payment began rollout Feb. 9. The next quarterly payment is scheduled to be mailed in mid-May.

Stay NJ is not a guaranteed program for the long term. The New Jersey Department of the Treasury acknowledged in a release announcing the payments that the “availability of New Jersey’s property tax relief programs is subject to state budget appropriations.”

The budget for fiscal year 2026, which runs through June 30, includes $2,431,572,000 for ANCHOR, $239,300,000 for Senior Freeze and $280,000,000 for Stay NJ.

That isn’t the only money dedicated for Stay NJ. It’s actually the third and final tranche of funding needed to cover just the start of the program.

Wouldn’t we be better off encouraging seniors to leave rather than stay? From a purely economic and productivity viewpoint what do they offer? Suck up services, don’t pay taxes, and complain. Net / net negative.

Put them on the metaphorical ice floe and push it out to sea. Have fun in FL, let them deal with it.

Human nature is human nature. People have to be kept busy or they look and get into trouble.

Very few have the IQ and the contemplative mind to use their idle time toward interesting intellectual pursuits that don’t end up with someone getting something up someones poop hole.

The 1% want to keep the lower 99% in the treadmill to keep their mind off how bad they are getting screwed.

The 1% need to be kept busy too. The main reason to tax the 1% is to keep them busy in the treadmill too. Otherwise the 1% will rig any system for themselves and become degenerate perverts. The next step after that is some sort of nasty violent revolution.

Yet, none of them want to move to maga territories. No Alabama, no Mississippi. Fuckers draining the social services in NJ, voting to defund the public education system, and receiving property tax subsidies.

Schools all over the U.S. are cancelling picture day due to Leon Black, co-founder of the parent company that owns Lifetouch, being listed in Epstein Files.
Lifetouch is the biggest school photography company in America, shooting millions of student portraits every year.

Stay NJ is just the new wrap around program to make sure Seniors are getting back money on the local property taxes up to 50% of their property taxes, capped at a maximum annual benefit of $6,500.

The previous Senior Freeze program is still in effect. My dear old mom has been getting those refunds for decades, he property taxes were “frozen” when she turned 65, she still pays the full amount up front and the state have funded the difference for years now, up to $6500. The cutoff is 174,000 in income. She has been a widow for a long time her income is low for sure and she would not have been able to afford to stay in her home most likely without draining her savings and investments or even the home equity.

Are people getting over? Probably $500,000 income under the new program? A bit high for sure.

I mentioned our new New Jersey Govenor will have her budget out in a few weeks.

Current projections are $1.5 billion budget shortfall.

What gets the axe, Grandma’s Stay NJ check or does the governor raises taxes?

My bet is she raises taxes or depletes the states cash reserves for a rainy day. There is a pretty good chance once the Feds discover all the Minnesota style fraud in NJ we are going to lose a portion of the Federal Aid.

For example there was a prosecution last year for a durable medical equipment (DME) scam. $172 million fraud scheme using straw owners to purchase DME companies, and associated telemarketing getting seniors to buy expensive Mobility Devices aka Canes….

Here are some examples…of potential Medicare fraud.

All those medically necessary private ambulance services that bill thousands to drive grandma to her Dr. appointments. Those Adult “Medical” Day Care (AMDC) providers that bill thousands to take care of Grandma during the day kind of like doggie daycare. You know the ones in the strip malls with vans that never move.

The leader of the Alternative for Germany (AfD), Alice Weidel, said that “the Ukrainians and Zelensky” would reimburse Germany for the blown-up Nord Stream and the billions of euros spent on it as assistance in the conflict with Russia. Speaking about the priority steps of his government after he came to power, Weidel noted: “We will demand damages. The Ukrainians and Zelensky should pay us for blowing up our pipeline. Yes! The country that did this to us cannot be our friend. And this must be publicly acknowledged. We have invested 70 billion euros in them, we have supplied them with so many weapons. [German Chancellor Friedrich] Merz even raised the issue of sending German soldiers. How could he have forgotten history so completely! German tanks against Russia? Seriously? How could anyone have thought of such a thing? Who would even think of such a thing? And I repeat. We will demand that the billions spent be returned to us. Not to mention the repair of the Nord Stream!

  21. MergeOrPayHigherTaxes ToJerseyDevilForHisBoatFund says:

    Juice,

The medical scams that you talk about are in the Dr.Oz’s world. They fall under HHS – CMMS -Medicare. The State level Medicaid programs have largely insulated themselves from these scams by changing from direct payment fee for services to contracting United, Horizon, Aetna and alike who have nationwide resources to early detect and stop fraud.

If you want to look into fraud in the public sector in NJ then look into nickel and dimes falling in the some many little holes that are created by the 564 municipalites, 21 counties, 600+ school districts and odd taxing and independent authorities like Fire Districts and Parking Authorities.

You want to reduce fraud. You got to merge and remove one layer of government. Until its accepted and voters want to execute it. Is useless make noise about it and not face reality.

  22. Juice Box says:

Merge – Yes and well No. It happens at the state level.

    Here is a recent case.

COMMENT:Interesting. Im guessing Obama still considers the extrajudicial murder of teenagers with American citizenship via drone strikes to be democratic and much more preferable. As long it’s abroad, murder and repression are cool.

COMMENT:Obama also took ICE from a rickety fledgling government org, increased its budget by 300%, and signed indefinite detention into law.

COMMENT. ICE was still running shitty detainment camps under Obama/Biden and actually deporting more people

Park Ridge police officers responding to a disturbance in progress in front of The Park Steakhouse in Park Ridge, found an adult man on the ground with an apparent head injury on Dec. 6, 2025, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

During the investigation, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office determined that Nicholas K. Dispoto, 31, of Hillsdale and an off-duty Montvale police officer, was involved in the physical altercation that led to the victim’s significant bodily injury, according to Musella. Dispoto hid inside of the steakhouse as officers arrived on scene, the prosecutor said.

Jason R. Vradenburg, 29, an off-duty Park Ridge police officer, along with 29-year-old Martina L. McGee of Hillsdale, and 59-year-old Thomas M. Schiavone of St. James City, FL, provided false information that aided in concealing Dispoto’s involvement in the incident, according to Musella.

Vradenburg was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 12, and charged with third-degree endangering an injured victim, third-degree tampering with public records, and fourth-degree hindering apprehension of another, authorities said. He was released pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, according to the prosecutor.

    Canada protecting Nazis

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova comments on Canada’s refusal to declassify the list of Nazi criminals and collaborators who found refuge there after World War II. Referring to the Jules Deschênes Commission, she accuses Canadian authorities of concealing historical truth under the pretext of national security and protecting Ukraine’s neo-Nazi narrative. Zakharova stresses the importance of historical memory, condemns the glorification of Nazi collaborators, and calls for the publication of archival documents for the sake of justice and moral responsibility.
