From the Trentonian:
Tensions high in Riverside: Both sides square off at rally against illegal alien ordinance
Simmering tensions over illegal immigrants were ratcheted up yesterday in this small town on the Delaware River, as a rally protesting the passage of a recent township ordinance drew several hundred people and forced the closure of the town’s main street.
About 200 people gathered in front of the Riverside Township Municipal Building to protest the law passed last month, which imposes penalties on anyone hiring or housing illegal immigrants.
On the other side of the intersection, behind police barriers, several hundred people waved signs and American flags and screamed epithets at the gathering.
…
The ordinance seeks to punish landlords and employers who house or hire illegal immigrants. Local officials estimate that as many as 3,500 illegal immigrants, many from Brazil, live in the town. It is similar to one passed earlier in July in Hazleton, Pa., and comes as other towns around the nation are considering such actions. Both the Riverside and Hazleton ordinances have been challenged in federal court. The challenge to the Riverside ordinance contends that the town is assuming powers that more rightfully rest with the federal government.
Local residents and township officials have said the law targets illegality, not immigrants.
Does anyone have any idea why it’s Riverside that’s taking the protest selections instead of Hazelton?
Is it proximity to highways?
Both towns are 3rd Circuit, both are small working class, fairly isolated towns, but I suppose Riverside probably has a bigger Dem population. I didn’t look up the stats.

It’s about time. Landlords and the construction industry have been subsidized by taxpayors as they reap the larger profits of cheap labor.
With illegal imagrants they say if we were to round them all up and send them home the new housing market would plunge. Well the only reason it would plunge is becuase constuction companies are greedy and want as much money as they can get. So if they paid leagal workers the correct wages then there profit would be less, aww boo hoo and then they would want to raise new home prices even more so they can still get all the profit they were getting before. Maybe its time for new home builders to start making normal sized home a normal price instead of Mega Mansions.
Real quick off the main topic,
people complain that they get hit with the rolling blackouts in the summer. Well you all should have gotten off your buns and protested all these maga mansions. They take a lot of electricity. But many people were either greedy and wanted there property value to really increase or they wanted one of the abusrd homes. OR they just didnt care.
Even if I had money to waste what the heck does anyone need 7000sq feet. Waste of space. Maybe if you have 10-12 kids that understandable.
Again another reason the greedy people of NY with there millions have ruined NJ
Look, lets face it. NJ is runied.
The illegals have a pretty good
run here in taking us down.
Walk the streets of any NJ town,
you see them all over .
If its not Mexicans, its Indians,
Middle Eastern , take your pick
NJ , a state that has been taken
right down the tubes.
