(Note, January 2006 sales figures were revised downwards due to a database error.)
Preliminary January sales/inventory data for Northern New Jersey is in..
The first graph plots the unadjusted sales data (closed sales) for the counties listed. Please note the lower bound of the graph, it is set to 1000, not to zero. I do this to emphasize the seasonal nature of the Northern NJ market.

The second graph is another view at the sales data for the full year. Please note that this graph does cross at zero.

The third graph displays only January sales, 2000 to 2007 YOY.

The last graph displays an overlay of Sales and Inventory from 2003 to 2007.

Sorry for the revisions.
While digging through my sales database I realized that I had duplicated Warren County sales for January 2006. January 2006 sales were overstated due to this error. However, the downward revision to the January 2006 sales numbers may change your interpretation of the current month.

I love your deadpan delivery, James. That last graph, sales vs. inventory, is quite stunning. The January over January graph is pretty amazing too. ~ Cass
