From Fox News Atlanta:
What if you found out an American Idol contestant was lip-synching? What if the Bachelor was really married? How real is reality TV? The FOX 5 I-Team answers that question with one of America’s favorite reality shows: Flip This House. Senior I-Team reporter Dale Russell found one Atlanta developer on the show, Sam Leccima, wasn’t telling the truth about his renovations.
One word: WOW.
A&E is apparently a shady operation — they stole the original show from Richard Davis, not compensating him, and then hired these clowns in Atlanta, and also the Montelongos in Austin, TX, who are the biggest scum ever to appear on television.
This guy flipped the flippers :)
If you can tolerate more, it’s a two-parter. Link is on the right-hand sidebar of the Top News page

New Zagat guide for NJ is out.
Found this little gem……….
Krakus
208 Main Ave.(Alden St.)
Wallington, NJ 07057
973-779-1922
From borscht to kielbasa, pierogi to potato pancakes, this Wallington BYO spares no classic from the Polish repertoire; it’s all gutsy, filling and robust and served in a humble dining space draped in thick, gold curtains and outfitted with sturdy wood appointments.
Nicholas once again takes the double title of best food and most popular.
Only in NJ could a pizza place take second place for food score. Delorenzo in Trenton.

Wow, I saw this show and remember being impressed with how quickly the featured house sold.
Pretty amazing that this ‘Sam’ character was so cavalier in the video, not even defensive in his responses. What’s up with that?
I knew these were entertainment shows, now see them as fantasy as well.
the bigger question is why does A&E feel the need to lie to make flipping houses look easy? Is it just pure laziness, or is there a real reason they are trying to mislead people?
Speaking of pizza, how about Kinchley’s Tavern in Mahwah?
i’ve never been a fan of kinchley’s, though to be fair i’ve only been there twice.
i like brooklyn in hackensack.
If you haven’t had a Patsy’s margherita pie, you haven’t had pizza:

brooklyn (in hackensack) is owned by the nephews of patsy’s (as per the story on their placemats anyway). it’s very similar.
