Parsippany superintendent lampooned in YouTube video

Incoming Schools Superintendent LeRoy E. Seitz will not start until Oct. 2 but he is already the subject of an anonymous, “Saturday Night Live”-style spoof on the hugely popular YouTube Internet site.

Seitz’ $192,000 annual salary and benefits are being lampooned in a fake TV ad that utilizes music and images from Bud Lite’s iconic “Real Men of Genius” commercials.

Board president Robert Perlett, who had not seen the video, was not amused.

“I think that it’s cowardly. It’s also childish,” Perlett said.

The producer, identified only as Parsippany Lampoon, did not return an e-mail sent Wednesday through the YouTube site. The video was posted on Tuesday.

It is unclear whether the same person is responsible for several other recent videos on YouTube mocking Lake Parsippany members, Council Vice President James Vigilante and others.

Just a couple of questions for the people of Parsippany:

Have you ever heard of “Recall”.

If so, you may want to start exercising it with respect to your school board members.

I guess satire and Constitutional rights are not part of the curriculum at the Parsippany school.

I want that job and pay. I will completely ignore the job, as I have 0 desire to be in NJ. But I will provide them banking information to collect the $16,000 a month. It will greatly help my children, and we will be so thankful to the generous folks there in NJ for another boondoggle.

The worst thing about Parsippany schools is that even when the Board of Education hands out these huge teacher and administrative salaries, the kids get an inferior education and less than 50% go on to four-year colleges.

There’s not one ounce of accountability for all of the money that’s being wasted. A majority of the teachers & administrators are dead wood and should be fired. The BOE is INCOMPETENT.

If you don’t beleive me, ask the kids! Ask the kids who go on to two- and four- year colleges and they’ll tell you how far behind they are compared to graduates of other high schools.
