From the Courier Post:
NJ is nearly the highest-taxed state in the nation, study finds
New Jersey is the second-least tax-friendly state in the U.S., according to a ConsumerAffairs report.
The state was found to have one of the biggest tax burdens. Only Hawaii had a higher tax burden than New Jersey.
“What really stands out about New Jersey is that it’s not just one tax that’s high — residents are feeling it across the board, whether it’s income taxes, property taxes or the taxes built into everyday purchases,” said Dayna Edens, media relations manager at ConsumerAffairs, an advocacy group that conducts reviews and studies.
One of the biggest tax burdens comes through the state’s property taxes. New Jersey homeowners face the highest property tax burdens in the country, with average property taxes equal to 9% of income.
Highest heh heh heh
Closing schools is wacist! Must raise property taxes instead!
MIDDLETOWN — A new effort to stave off the closing two Middletown elementary schools claims the move will result in overcrowded buildings, a reduction in student safety, and contribute to racial segregation.
Parents Kristin Rooney, Scott McPherson, Emilie Donohue, Jessica Donohue, Melissa Daus, Megan Daus and Kathleen Young filed an appeal with the New Jersey Commissioner of Education to overturn a Feb. 26 resolution by the Middletown Township Board of Education.

Get rid of Senior Freeze and you can keep those, and other, schools open. Boomer needs to pay their fair share.

It’s not clear why so many Americans think their neighbors are immoral, but experts think political polarization has something to do with it.

20 million barrels of oil per day are not passing thru the Straight of Hormuz right now.
After this weeks bombing I don’ think the Iranians can stop a dinghy from transiting the straight.

Starlink Grounds $5 Standby Mode, Blocks In-Motion Use
For in-motion use, subscribers will need a pricier Roam plan, which starts at $50 per month
What’s to explain? Elon Musk wants more money.
SpaceX hasn’t explained the change. But a support page on Starlink.com notes: “Pausing your service with Standby Mode is not intended for in-motion use.”
Phoenix – The $5 a month plan was slow as hell speeds only 500 Kbps..Pretty much any kind of video chat or streaming won’t work.
gas 330 a gallon. Making America great again.
And one fuel goes up, so does everything else.
This is exactly what American families needed right now, higher expenses, higher taxes, increased deficits, more military spending.

I know what it was. It was basic communication for a low price.
But Elon Musk doesn’t care about someone who wants to use it for that.
He needs more billions in order to take over the world.
It served a purpose. Now it no longer does.

China made a statement about how Israel and America attacked Iran in the middle of negotiations.
They are ramping up production of weapons for a first strike against America since it cannot be trusted to negotiate in good faith and that they won’t be unprepared when the aggressors come for them.

The US can bomb for a very long time using B-52s now that the allies control the air over Iran. Those „missile cities“ that Iran built in the mountains are quickly becoming „missile tombs“. I‘m sure the allies know every exit point from every missile stockpile hidden away. Those exits and cave entrances will soon be closed. That is called turning a strength into a weakness. Guys like RentBore were probably crying when the Ayatollah was killed. They just hate the US and think it is the root of all evil.
Trump fired Kristi Noem. He did it by tweet while she was giving a speech. She never saw it coming. Now she knows how her dog felt.

3b,
Do you know Dave Atherton the pipe maker?
Chad: No, I do not.Is he state side or over there?
3b,
Dave is in Naperville, Illinois. He started out on his own in 2007 after working for Charlie Kron in NY. At first he made a MacDougall copy which was very popular. I think he makes two other models as well. Very high quality and his instruments have been played at the highest level. I have a set from him that I‘ll be playing next week at the St. Patrick‘s Day Parade in Munich.
I have a Kron chanter, and have been please with it. Hardis ‘s were good too. Does he make reeds too? The Melvin and Chesney Warnock blue reeds are quite popular over here now.
No, Dave doesn’t make reeds. His pipe making business is old school. He probably doesn’t make more than 35 sets a year when he does decide to take orders.
I have an ABW Chesney as my solo chanter. I usually order my reeds direct from the shop in Northern Ireland.

“Less than 2.5 months into the year, Trump has:
1) Removed a thorn in our side from Venezuela;
2) Prevented a new thorn in our side in Greenland;
3) Removed a massive pain in our ass in Iran;
4) Secured a monopoly of control over the flow of 42% of China’s oil supply;
5) Stolen the international shipping insurance industry from London;
6) Restored the global perception of America as a sleeping giant restrained only by its own self;
7) United Sunni Arab nation-states and Israel in a military confrontation against other Muslims;
8) Vindicated the policy of why Iran could never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon, forcing Europe to confront how self-destructive their international policy has been for decades;
9) Boxed China out of the world stage; and,
10) Forced upon Russia the imminent decision to swim with America or sink with China.
I don’t know that there’s ever been such a sweepingly powerful change in the winds of international order at so little a cost as what Trump has accomplished almost completely out of nowhere in 2026.”
