NJ – “D for dog”

From the Asbury Park Press:

Toll Bros. hints at floor in some housing areas

Toll Bros. Inc., the largest U.S. builder of luxury homes, said Tuesday that the housing market may have reached bottom.

“We may be seeing a floor in some markets where deposits and traffic, although erratic from week to week, seem to be dancing on the bottom or slightly above,” Chief Executive Officer Robert Toll said. Toll shares rose 3 percent and every company in an index of homebuilders gained.

Toll’s net income in the three months ended Oct. 31 fell 44 percent to $173.8 million, or $1.07 a share, from $310.3 million, or $1.84 a year earlier, the Horsham, Pa.-based builder said. The average home price was $710,000 in the quarter, compared with $679,000 a year ago.

Asked to grade areas, CEO Toll gave Texas a “B” and New Jersey a “D for dog,” with the exception of the Princeton area, which he said was “B for beautiful.”

Ok I would go that far, princton has a lot of nice old houses, but Princton is far from Beautiful. I have been all through Princton and I even work in Princeton, honestly the whole are is a dull waste land of crap. I cannot figure out for the life of me how people can think Princeton is a real town. Every real Jerzian knows that Princeton is not a place to live. There was even a joke made about how Princeton was a joke some years back. Why is Princeton so beautiful? Becuase its expensive? Becuase it has Hoity toity stores on the main block down 27? There are so many nicer looking place in NJ than princeton so I give and “F” to Toll Brothers the largest builder of ghetto houses, built with the lowest quality (next to Hovnanian) And I give an “F” to Princeton for Being the biggest joke in NJ for thinking that they can actually be a real town.
