Recession / Economic: What recession, we live in a service economy and there is enough money for that. So no stats will say a recession, but I think most growth in numbers is priced in already. FED will be indecisive, inactive and Trump will fight with them constantly. This will fuel volatility. Unemployment wanders around 4%, Inflation 3.5% on average. Oil go between 60-80%. Nat gas will be crazy this year that nobody even talks right now. 10year may hit 5% even 5.5% for a few times. That will drop a lot of risk-on assets. I am optimistic about emerging markets though. This is the most hated time for them, most likely it is a good bottom.
Real Estate: Average buyer will be 55 years old. That is enough to say.
Stocks/Securities: 10% up EOY, but the stocks will be very volatile, Expecting drawdowns 20% on the indices. Recent developments on GPT models with heavy inference needs will slow down AI craziness. NVDA will start to share more of the revenue stream with others. TSLA will be #3 by the end of the year.
Commodities: Oil between $60-80. Gold $3800 EOY. BTC will go down to 65K but will pump back to 165K with Trumps assistance. No reserve decision though, if done this would end the domination of dollar and the empire.
Inflation: 3.5% average
Mortgage Rates 7.5% average
Geopolitics: So much talk, not much done. Israel extends the conflict into Iran borders, Syria will split into 4.

You’re correct that all these EU countries moving to the Right does seem to be connected to immigration. Many of these people are not working, not assimilating into the new country, or learning the language. Immigration was apparently the solution to the low birth rates in Western Europe. With fewer workers funding the old retirees the retirement system of the Social Market Economy collapses. Not sure how to fix this thing but 2025 is not looking good for the economy. I think in the US that the Left likes illegal immigration more as an idealogy of the globalist mindset.
The H1-B and H2-B workers provide services and need to meet specific regulatory requirements. Phoenix: There are serious legitimate issues with uncontrolled immigration, both in Europe and the U.S.. in Europe particularly you have many migrants who are young men from predominantly Muslim countries, who are having difficulties accepting the social norms in the west. As well, you have preachers who are attempting to radicalize some of these young men, who in turn commit terrorist acts. This is not boogey men talk or racism, these are real issues. I am back from flyover country, seems I did not miss much. A quick scan of comments shows the the usual partisan fighting vs those that are more pragmatic or GASP even rational.

Inflation is here to stay…. Example below.
Inflation has hit everywhere. In cheaper parts of the country country the pizza is even more expensive than NJ. $16 for a 14 in plain cheese pizza in flyover country! I get a full 16 inch pie for $14 here in NJ and we barely have any cows to make mutz! We will be headed to $20 a plain pizza before you know it.
Our airfare was about double this time around. $640 round trip..Yes it’s Christmas and all but by far it is way higher. P-4 parking increased from $40 a day to $60 a day if you did not pre-book…We decided at last minute because we were pressed for time to switch from cheaper P-6 long term to P-4 a costly mistake..
Tickets at a NBA game. Prices were higher in the reseller market way higher, waited until last minute and scored some center court lower level tickets a few rows back for $300 a piece. Beer was $14 and water was $8. Food the usual garbage we did not even bother, way over priced. I paid $24 for two large soft drinks, large come in a special cup..whoopee…Simply outrageous prices to pay for an NBA game.
Onto my predictions for politics..
Trump first 100 days……
China, Panama, Canada, Greenland etc. Might as well add in Grenada, we invaded 42 years ago we should have kept it right? We cannot invade any of those countries. Nothing is going to happen other than angry tweets. One thing is for sure when predicting politics Trump is unpredictable. So my prediction is don’t bother predicting what Trump will do other than throw a fit on Twitter.
What you can however predict in politics is in his first 100 days he won’t get his confirmations in the Senate. The incoming Trump administration has to fill 4,000+ political positions in the federal government. Who really wants to work for him? I would say the lists are short on experienced people. Over 1,000 of these open positions including Trump’s cabinet secretaries and 3 letter agency heads, as well as all deputy secretaries, assistant secretaries, and ambassadors require a Senate confirmation. That is allot of Committee meetings and votes. Meetings with senators and their staff, as well as Confirmation hearings and votes as well even floor debates. I suspect the high profile confirmations well take a long long time. RFK no way. Tulsi see ya later, etc…..
Economy and all.
Spending will only increase this year, it will never go down. The debt and deficit spending cannot be fixed. It’s a structural part of our system, it is actually the not just a joist in the floor of our economic structure it’s now the entire foundation. Remove/Lower the annual deficit and associated money printing and it all collapses. This has been the truth for about 25 years now, hence my point about inflation is here to stay..
Real estate…. I am already seeing the luxury homes discounted. A million off here a million off ask there. Check your own luxury market, it’s not trading sideways it’s headed down. The middle class will continue to slowly creep down now perhaps a quick 5%-10% this year. Those boomer homes will be listed for a quick buck by their greedy grubbing offspring who need to pay down their own debt with their inheritance.

We had season tickets to the Nets when they were in the NBA finals every year. Nice seats at the lower level, 7 rows back, $85 a ticket. After that, I just bought upper level, $10 bucks a pop. Those are distant memories. The last NBA game I went to was Lebron’s 2nd year. The league really crapped the bed on quality and to me, it’s not even a sport anymore. Just a shooting exhibition where the players don’t even try hard.
