    Federal layoffs are only matching Tech Companies so far.

    “Public disclosures show more than 26,000 federal workers have already been fired, excluding buyouts, according to a research note Wednesday from investment bank Piper Sandler.”

    Silicon Valley about 80 tech companies including Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, Workday have laid off about 26,000 since the beginning of the year.

    I celebrate the administration’s confronting the parasitic, wasteful, corrupt and hithereto unaccountable federal bureaucracy which has been weaponized against the American people.

    The federal government and the deep state does not serve the interests of the average American. Not sure if it even serves the interests of the top 10% of Americans. It might be as small as the top .1%, which equates to something like $30M or $50M household net worth level.

    The federal government/work force has gotten way too big. Maybe cutting it back will make it more transparent on what money is being spent on. It seems funds were be used to support ideology and perhaps illegal activities.

    Indiscriminately firing workers is not good for those fired or those who remain. Look at the people who Trump is appointing. It’s is overwhelmingly clear it is his own Deep State. Heck, the SCOTUS already is.

    Gotta keep DJT and $TRUMP as high as possible. It’s the only thing that matters. Keep an eye on those Tesla and SpaceX subsidies.

    American women terrorizing others in another country:

    A newborn baby died after an American tourist threw the infant out of a hotel window moments after giving birth, local police report.

    The 18-year-old mother allegedly threw her baby from the second floor of an Ibis Styles hotel ‘with the umbilical cord’, authorities said.

    Emergency services took the baby to the Robert-Debre hospital after witnesses reported the harrowing scenes around 6am this morning.

    The Paris prosecutor’s office told Le Parisien that the child did not survive the fall and succumbed to injuries.

    An investigation has been opened for ‘homicide of a minor under 15,’ the city’s public prosecutor told the outlet.

    The office said that the mother was ‘part of a group of young adults travelling in Europe’.

    Microsoft pulling back on AI investment is interesting. What do they know we don’t? Co-pilot not getting enough adoption from the customer base?

    With a lot of products – customers are just getting forced to use AI and pay more even when the results are sub par.

    Rent – Nuclear powerplants and data centers are expensive.

    MSFT is trying to jam Copilot into all of their Office subscriptions. Microsoft 365 Personal well they added $3 a month when you renew now it’s now $12.99 a month. 84 million subscribers to that personal version. That is $3 Billion a year in additional revenue if you don’t opt out. Yes you have to opt out.

    Copilot business version is listed at $30 per user per month…..That cost as much as the entire Office 365 E3 subscription of $33.75 without MS Teams. Yes it’s integrated and they index all of your work data for you. Will it do my job? Hardly..it still cannot filter junk email properly. I have another AI system and $$ subscription to do that.

    Told my 15 yr old use Replit to create a website he wanted with no coding skills. Windsurf, Cursor are doing a much better job than Copilot. Sorry MSFT they became the laggard again. Amazon will release a system I think NOVA, they also never managed to lead. Pathetic tech leadership. Except AWS, there is no innovation at AMZN.

    Never bothered with any subscriptions. I still use Office 2000. I use Igor Pro for spreadsheets from 2001. I still play my mp3s off winamp. I also have never had a streaming service.

    I also use old versions of Office to avoid subscriptions. WinAmp? That’s a name I haven’t heard of in a while. I so subscribe to SiriusXM for Stern, but only pay $5 a month and steal my son’s spotify account. Probably going to drop Amazon soon for Walmart +. It’s too expensive and their shipping has gotten bad. Walmart gets it to you same day most of the time and no minimum. They won’t be able to do this if more people find out about them. I am lucky that the grocery delivery is pretty amazing around here. Also same day and free with Plus. In Florida, where Gator Jr. goes to school, it’s unusable.

    And in other news, I see Musk thinks he can sell Twitter for what he paid for it. Among it’s diving revenue which can only be offset by continuing to fire workers. I expect his moron supporters will jump on that terrible investment too.

    Watch for DJT adds everywhere. It’s the only reason Trump is in it.

    I don’t pay for MSFT either as I have company subscription and all. I have had Copilot for a while now. It’s just ok.. My kids all use Google with their School provided Chromebooks anyway…My kids may never use MSFT software in their lives.

    Vertical AI agents is the next wave…tons of companies developing them now. I am on a project or two as well….The future holds these AI agents and AI robots need to work together and when that happens they might decide to unionize or worse rebel.

    Eddie has made it home from Atlanta so they’ll be no sprinkling of Chex Mix on his grave. The plane ride to and from was flawless. Three races over two days, cool temps, fun events and surrounded by All-American folks. Men remove hats during the invocation and national anthem with hand over hearts, people say excuse me and there’s no road rage leaving the event.

    I haven’t seen any news over the last three days but I understand Germany has the slogan, “Make Germany Great Again” as the AfD party was successful in the election?

    And Joy Reid of MSNBC was fired? Was it the over the top fake news and flame-throwing attitude that did it? I mean, beside sucking hard.

    And what’s this I read that some people fired by DOGE didn’t even know they were fired for days since they don’t show up anywhere and never open an email? I know this is true because working for a municipality years ago, people would punch in then go shopping, hang out in a coffee shop for an hour or so, drive municipal trucks around or work some side hustle. Not all, but way too many. I left because a) I felt like I was stealing money and b) my brain wasn’t getting any activity on the job.
