Welcome to the new site

Welcome to the new site!

The name change, http://njrealestatereport.com , is just temporary, but it will take a few days for the necessary changes to propagate across all the name servers across the internet. Unfortunately, this is entirely out of my control.

If the new changes haven’t made their way to your web host yet, you’ll likely still find the old site when you use https://njrereport.com . Once those changes are made, you’ll be directed to the new site.

Once everything is complete, both urls (https://njrereport.com and http://njrealestatereport.com) will point to the same site.

Please make note of the http://njrealestatereport.com URL, should the old site go down, it may be the only way for you to access this site.

If anyone has any problems, please report them to me immediately.

Hopefully, this will be the end of the HTTP 500 errors.

njrebear: I’d take it as a compliment. House poor is better than poor house.

This was an interesting find for the folks analyzing the exurb-suburban roll-in of market changes.

    Purchased 1/23/03 150,000 teardown
    Purchased 2/08/05 575,000 new construction

    Current Ad:
    Lower Makefield (Yardley, Pa)
    1 Day Auction
    1-3 PM
    Address
    Sold to HIGHEST BIDDER BETWEEN
    $449,900 – $499,900

Zillow has it at $486. Wonder if they’ll get anybody to bid $450.

    Hey JB-

I’m sure you’ve got a ton going on with the new host, but is there a way to integrate a “search” field for the site?

I really like a new design, but I’d need to hire someone to do it for me. No time to learn how to create new templates for WordPress.

    Pat,

The house you mention in PA is going into auction with a low bid that is 20% less than the purchase price in 05. Since it was new then, it should be in OK shape unless the person who bought it has meticuloulsy ruined it during the last 2 years. That’s something that people sometimes warn about with foreclosures, that the person losing the house ruins it out of rancour. Is the owner or a bank puting it to auction?

  14. Pat says:

    Hi, Marito:

No facts, cause I haven’t decided if I’m going over there right now to see if there’s a bid by 3. I think I know what’s going on. There were a couple of properties on acreage in that flood zone in Yardley that were sold dirt cheap in 03, and somebody built a flood remediated (elevated) homes, each on 1 acre. I had heard at church a couple of weeks ago they’d be on in March, and I now see them. One is approx. 2700 SQFT and sold new 11/2005 for 530k. It just it MLS at $600k. Poor folks.

The one next to it is the auction today. 2500 SQFT with the min. ask $449,900. Sold 2/05 for $575.

    Pat,
I take most realtor comments with a bucket of salt :)

  17. rhymingrealtor says:

Is the lack of comments here today due to the new sight or is it because it’s selection sunday? It’s madness in this house right now. I have screamer’s and yellers. I feel very left out. I really wanted girls.

  18. Clotpoll says:

    KL-

What’s the difference? All the girls in my house are fighting over Syracuse being left out.

  19. rhymingrealtor says:

    Clot,

Your right that was very sexist of me. I guess a father’s passion will be passed on no matter what. I truly love the fact that they have these things to scream, yell, and debate about. Neither one of my boys have friends who are so into sports like they are, especially my nine year old who’s peers he cannot share his knowledge with, alot don’t have fathers who enjoy it so much with them, or fathers at all. He talk sports with the janitor at school, he engages him all the time. My oldest son (15) has friends who play ( he does’nt make the teams) but none of them know a fraction of what he knows.
    Again, no sexism intended.

  20. rhymingrealtor says:

Oh, they were very, very pissed about Syracuse.
