163 million views for Tucker Trump interview, why are all the Democrats watching his new show? There is no way MSM can put up those kind numbers, advertisers will be looking to Elon”s X this election season.

  6. Hughesrep says:

Views…. So if you follow twitter, and someone tweeted a link or part of it on their feed, even just to mock them it counts. So basically everyone who has a twitter account ran acrossed it, throw in the nutjjobs, bots and fake accounts pushing it multiple times, etc. Numbers appear to be distinctly “meh”. Short attention span theater.

I’m guessing the mug shot this afternoon will kill those numbers. I’m more interested in the height and weight numbers. I’m going with 5’11, 265.

From yahoo, I know, fake news.

…In other words, a view is counted even if you didn’t actively look at the post — posts by the way were formerly known as “tweets” before Elon Musk changed the site’s name to X — even if all it did was cross your screen while you were scrolling. Which by the way is a very likely occurrence on X’s algorithmic “For You” tab… especially if that tweet features content by users Twitter owner Elon Musk personally wants to boost.

…As of this writing, Carlson’s interview with Trump has been reposted (formerly “retweeted”) 139,700 times, quote-posted (formerly “quote-tweeted”) 11,100 times, liked 457,00 times, bookmarked 31,800 times, and has been replied to around 40,000 times. Not especially low numbers, and they’re likely to go up overnight. It’s undeniable that Trump has a lot of supporters, many of whom swarm on Twitter.

… But these days, Fox averages about 1.7 million viewers during its primetime broadcast.

    From six hours ago.

I liked Nikki Haley; she seems really confident and focused and I liked her views on most of the policies. Her command of the issues is impressive. Vivek is sharp, no denying it. I thought all of them were strong in their strategies, whatever it may be. I couldn’t stop thinking about how truly bad O’Biden and Carmella are as Prez and VP. Really the worst administration in my lifetime. O’Biden’s domestic and foreign policies have been a disaster. But what I was thinking was how bad the vegetable would be debating among a group of candidates. The guy can’t even put a sentence together and his side kick, Giggles, sounds like a 7 year old in a woman’s body.

  9. Fast Eddie says:

Ah, the UFO question… that was funny. Christies was like, really? lol.

  10. Juice Box says:

Hughesrep – I know how impressions work even bots, links, views and all. Fact it they blew MSM actual viewership out of the water, the message whatever it was reached more people. That is what advertising is all about, as well more people get their news from Social Media than cable news, and it’s been that way for a long time now.

Leave it to Elon to remove the actual streaming metrics, if it is good enough he will brag about it or it will be provided to advertisers who will demand it before they spend $$$ during this election cycle.

“I said it when Roe V. Wade was overturned. The Dems won the 2024 election…”

Another myopic take from inside the blue-state bubble. The ‘independent’ women that I’m guessing you’re implying will now vote D, have overwhelmingly voted D for the past 50 years. And although you wouldn’t know if from the blue-state Dem stooges that post here, the massive migration to the red states speaks to the fact that huge numbers of people care about other things — they want criminals to be prosecuted, they want their kids classrooms to be free from tranny story time, they want our borders to be secured, etc…Given the radical left shift of the D party, and their demonstrated inability (or unwillingness) to provide sound governance, their only sure path to victory at the national level is through the mass mailing (and harvesting) of ballots. If they can do that again, especially in the swing states — and even if the court had left RvW alone — they’ll win.

  12. Juice Box says:

Haley is Desi too Sikh/Punjabi as a matter of fact. Her and Vivek did spar a little with the “No foreign policy experience” comment about him.

I did laugh at Christie’s ChatGPT comment, even Vivek laughed. Christie is a seasoned debater and prepped Trump if you remember. The only way he gets any votes is if he repackages himself and loses weight by February, like his own little “biggest loser” show crafted into a presidential campaign where he comes out as the fighter he says he is and goes wild on a crash diet. Right now he is slow and tired looking, nothing to vote for.

  13. Bystander says:

Agree Ed..Nikki was best of bunch. Borgum sounds like a decent person but just way too awkward. Asa ran the DEA..GTOH. Last person we need . Talk about a criminal, wasteful agency. Vivek is worse than any leftist teenager who wants trans equality and climate change funding. He is immature and has no idea how govt or constitution works. Lobbing garbage and acting like he has a plan.

Then revenue flatlined 2000-2003 as the boom cooled. $CSCO stock lost 70% in 2001

  15. Fast Eddie says:

Pence wanted to send Vivek to his room with no supper. Lol! I think a lot of people don’t realize Nikki is of 100% Asian Indian descent. The ChatGPT comment was funny. Borgum does appear to be compassionate. Asa is out, nothing there.

Some with $90k, Joe’s sister had $24k forgiven etc, loads and loads of callers received letters from their servicers the debt was zeroed out.

He then had on Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona. They are forgiving all debt for anyone with 10 years of service for any government agency. Cardona said 650,000 will have their debt forgiven and they are processing them as quickly as possible. No idea if there are income caps.

The other new program is SAFE, if you have a student loan they will lower the payments all the way to zero if you are low-income. This you have to apply for.

Going to be a fun election season.

Basically the “do no harm” candidate.
But her ending 45 second pitch was weak. Why does she need to tell us about sending her husband off to some undisclosed military operation?

She’s the whitest looking Indian I’ve seen. Makes me wonder if she has an Englishman grandfather. Wonder if she’d won her races in SC if she looked different.

But I don’t see her gaining big ground out of this.

    Desantis didn’t really distinguish himself.

The youth are dumb, I should know, I was one once. I had plenty of opportunities to get a career that benefits me over helping others.

It’s not till later in life that you realize no one gives a ratz azz about you, and that the government pension is the way to go.

Another whole group is about to jump ship where I work, it’s a revolving door now, no stability, no one stays long enough to become good at what they do.

The wonks on the Right here can keep making the red state/blue state argument until the cows come home. The really sad truth is, the vast majority of Republican voters are ignoring the soon to be > 100 indictments against Trump and will follow that moron right to prison. This one is going to be a landslide. And the right is going to lose to a president who is an incoherent puppet of the DNC. It will not get better for the right until they reinvent themselves and stop the lying bullshit. It’s all negative, all the time. Angry populism is simply a crappy platform. And the party better find a candidate that is different than DeSantis since Trump’s going to plea bargain himself out of politics and his supporters won’t support DeSantis who is Trump’s enemy number one.

Anyone want to wager some more Silk City hooch?

Biden winning a second term in a landslide. Priceless. So what do you think is going to happen when and if the Dems ever wise up and run a non-establishment candidate, like the time we all thought Obama was?

Here is some more details, as people have been getting letters that their student loan debt has been forgiven.

    804,000 borrowers…..

“Starting Monday, hundreds of thousands of federal student loan borrowers received emails from their servicers with the subject line “Your student loans have been forgiven.”

The notices came as part of the Biden administration’s previously announced efforts to cancel debt for 804,000 borrowers who qualify for relief under their repayment plans but haven’t yet received it because of what officials have called administrative failures.

The emails started going out on Monday, according to a copy of the confirmation notices to borrowers that ABC News exclusively obtained.

It’s expected that all 800,000-plus borrowers will be notified of some relief in the coming weeks. By the end of the day Monday, the Department of Education estimated that it had already wiped the debt of more than 200,000 people.

Around 614,000 people are expected to have their entire student loan debts canceled, while others might have remaining loans that they took out at different times.”

Wonder if her future kids will still get Indian names or will adopt more “biblical” names. I think I’ve mentioned before, it’s surprising how Indian families, even when both parents are born in the US, almost always use Indian names, while Chinese families almost always use “biblical” or “American sounding” names, even if they have kids before they are US citizens. I don’t understand the sociological drivers of this difference in naming approach.

  57. No One says:

Pence was pretty much as always, an honest and serious guy. Too religious for most, including myself. His problem is that he’s trying to run on the coattails of the “Trump/Pence” administration, which he repeatedly mentioned, while the headliner Trump is trashing him and Trump’s most rabid fans view him as a traitor who should be hanged. Tarnished by association with Trump yet not beloved by Trumpers. So too bad for him but he’s screwed politically forever.

Vivek said it last night, the party needs to adapt or die.

  59. Libturd says:

I watched under ten minutes of the debate last night and a few snippets on twitter this morning, which really, was the way to watch it.

Here is the problem for everyone. The party is still gaga over Trump the entertainer. Even when Christie pointed out that Pence certifying the election was the most constitutional act performed by anyone there, the crowd was nearly silent. Of course, this was the same crowd that was proudly chanting hang Pence on 1/6. I couldn’t believe they all agreed to get behind Trump if he won the primary. Not a one of those spineless candidates did anything to separate themselves from Trump. Heck, they hardly did anything to separate themselves from each other. Quite honestly, why even have a debate if everyone has the same position. So they were left to character-assassinate each other and that’s pretty much all they did.

And to really screw the right, Trump set the precedent of sitting it out, which will make it impossible to fault Biden when he chooses to sit them all out (for obvious reasons).

As far as I could tell, not a single one of those kooks even went after Trump for not participating. How the hell are you going to beat him if, 1) You share the same platform positions as him. 2) You make no attempt to attack him (and believe me, he’s very easy to punch holes in). 3) You don’t differentiate yourself from each other.

It should have been called the 2024 Trump Agreement presentation.

  60. Juice Box says:

Lib – if everyone has the same position?

Vivek said we need to get out of Ukraine and arm everyone in Taiwan including the children. He was by far the most entertaining, and if it weren’t for the fact he is the successful version of Martin Shkreli I’d consider him viable albeit perhaps too young.

News flash Trump indeed does suck.

    Worst President ever.

Here is a hint stoner, what president has given us 20% inflation, has opened our southern boarders to drug lords, convicts and gangs, sold the USA down the road for his personal gain,( read up how Joe sold out Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin who was fired, even after receiving a letter from Obama praising his work),killing the middle class, destroying our economy and Afghanistan debacle.

I do not like Trump, but he did a hell of a lot better than Joe has, and Joe is not done yet.

Please have your wife or daughter proofread your dumb posts, you are looking like the village idiot. Common sense is not one of your strong points, and smoking pot kills brain cells.

Sure you could, anybody who thinks Joe Biden is a good president is already brain dead. He can’ t even figure out how to leave a stage, plagiarized in college, and has taken more time off than any other president in history.
Your brain is burnt out, you don’t work and you think Joe is the best president ever. Do you remember Kennedy, Eisenhower , or read up on Washington, Lincoln . These men were so much better than senile Joe Biden . Facts Jack. I think your brain is already tied behind your back. That alone is the dumbest statement I have EVER heard. Ask your wife to proofread or wait until your clear headed drug free, which should be around December 2024.

In case you’re wondering how mortgage companies are doing:

Better․com, a major mortgage company, went public today via SPAC.

Their stock crashed a massive 93% in ONE DAY.

The company went from being worth $4 billion yesterday to $400 million today.

    How can this end well?

Anecdotal I was hanging with a bunch of musicians, including my brother. He shared he got a student loan forgiveness email from his processor this week. There was a lot of joy for sure on that news, the drummer in his band was bummed but I told him Secretary Miguel said only 200,000 have been processed and there are 600,000 to go.. The Drummer works for Rutgers and I will say no more.

Even my aged ears hurt listening to how out of touch and aged they were…Thatcher? WTF? I barely remember Thatcher.

The R party is doing zero actively to cultivate the newest generation and many things proactively to turn them off. That’s were the abortion issue comes in, and why Lib is correct on the impact of RvW. Huge numbers of these kids don’t even believe in an established religion. It’s a social and freedom issue for them. That may hurt some peoples’ ears but it is what it is. Deal with it. If Pence ran he would be lucky to get 10% of the vote of people under 35.

“…it’s surprising how Indian families, even when both parents are born in the US, almost always use Indian names, while Chinese families almost always use “biblical” or “American sounding” names”

Lib you were expecting way too much from this debate. It unfolded mostly according to plan and expectations. Especially with the size of the field. Equally distributed each candidate would have had, what, eight minutes across all those topics. Not going to get any substance there.

DeSantis didn’t want to damage himself further and get a few good clips for media. Mission accomplished. Pence is Pence, presentation and message not changing. Two candidates needed to make noise to get a higher profile, Vivek and Haley, mission accomplished, what message got them there didn’t matter. Christie played his role as DJT attack dog, not a serious candidate. Three people are writeoffs and won’t be there next time opening things up in September.

The sooner the Rs get to a small stage and single challenger to DJT the better. If you could drop Christie and Pence as well from next debate it would be ideal but that probably won’t happen.

In somewhat uncharted territory so interesting things may happen…just for the fun of it, don’t think it will happen but let’s game some things out, assume DJT continues to hold a dominant lead and there’s the need for a hail mary…what if DeSantis and Haley teamed up with the pitch to nominate DeSantis and he promises to take Haley as VP on the ticket. Could something like that get enough rational right/moderate/suburban primary vote out to tilt the nomination?
